India’s Engineering goods exports to Russia 2x in 2023

  Engineering goods are the most important exports of India. Over the years, India's engineering goods market has seen tremendous growth. According to India import export data reports, the overall exports of India's engineering goods recorded to be $28.87 billion dollars during the financial year 2023. This includes optical, medical instruments, clocks, watches, musical instruments parts, etc. During this period, India’s biggest markets for India’s engineering goods exports were France, Turkey, Germany, United States and Russia. Especially across Russia, India’s engineering goods exports doubled during 2023. As per Russia import data , Russia alone was responsible for $1.22 billion worth of engineering goods imports from India during last fiscal year. Russia’s wheat exports saw rapid growth in March

  Last year, Russia was the fifth biggest wheat exporter across the world. According to Russia import export data , over $5.5 billion worth of wheat was exported from Russia. Similar trend follows this year. Russia has received record wheat production during last year. Despite sanctions imposed by several countries like the United States, Canada and the European Union. The forecast this year shows that Russian wheat exports could hit a record 52.9 mmt during the 2023-2024 marketing year.  In future, it might cross 86 mmt tonnes. The biggest market for Russia’s wheat exports were Turkey and Egypt where almost 56% of the overall Russia’s wheat export shipments were made. Turkey's exports to Russia dropped to 34% in Feb 2024

  Turkey and Russia are important trading partners. The bilateral relationship has further increased during the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Turkey has faced harsh criticism from the west over increasing imports and exports from Russia. Amid this pressure, Turkey's trade with Russia slowed down last month. According to Turkey import export data reports, exports to Russia have declined by 34% during February 2024. Turkey has exported over $668 million worth of goods to Russia during February 2024. There was a decline of $1.1 billion in 2023. These include wood fuel, hydraulic motor, lamps, lightings, sunflower seeds, bars, rods, loaders, backhoe, tomato, lemons, etc. Petrol Ofisi Anonim Irketi, Vestel Ticaret Anonim Irketi and AR Elik Anonim Irketi were the leading Turkish export companies with the highest number of shipments to Russia.
