Austria's foods and beverages exports 2023
Austria is a prominent importer of foods and beverages across the global market. These include fish, sugar, cocoa, cereals, fruits, spirits, tobacco, food waste, and various food preparations. Austria import export data shows that over $11 million worth of fresh fish exports were recorded during last year. Germany is the leading importer of frozen fish from Austria with 90% market share. Among the fastest growing markets for Austria fish exports were Hungary, Slovak Republic and Czech Republic. Whereas, meat preparations exports from Austria were recorded to be $720 million during last fiscal year. There was a 6% increase in the meat preparations exports from Austria in 2023. Over 60% of Austria's meat preparations exports went to Germany. Also, there were some notable shipments to Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic and Romania.
