Argentina's agricultural exports fell by 40% in 2023

  Agriculture is the main activity of Argentina. Argentina's major agricultural exports include soybeans, wheat, poultry meat, wool and wine. It is also the leading wool and wine producer. According to Argentina import export data reports, over 58 million tonnes of agricultural exports were made in 2023 showing a 40% decline as compared to previous year.  During the financial year 2023, Argentina accounted for over 40% of world's overall soybean oil and soybean meal exports. Argentina export data shows that the country's soybean meal exports were around $12 billion during last year. Whereas, the soybean oil exports were recorded to be $6.8 billion in 2023.  Vietnam was the biggest importer of Argentina's soybean meals responsible for 12.5% market share. Among the fastest growing markets for Argentina's soybean meals exports were Indonesia, Poland, Spain, Malaysia and Turkey. India's grapes exports soared across EU market

  Grapes are among India's prominent fruits exports. Grapes are the 5th most produced fruit crop in India. India accounts for the world's 2% grape production. In 2023, India produced around 1.2 million tonnes. According to India import export data reports, India has exported around $751 million worth of grapes during last year. India's biggest markets for grape exports were Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Russia.  In terms of grapes exports share, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Russia accounted for 30%, 15%, 12%, 10%, 7% share respectively. Indian grapes exports found newly grown interest from European countries. Ukraine, "the world's leading seed oils exporter"

  Ukraine is the world's biggest exporter of sunflower seeds and oils. Ukraine’s sunflower seeds and oil exports are being slightly affected by the ongoing war with Russia. As compared to FY 2022, there was a decline of 6% in the exports during fiscal year 2023. According to Ukraine import export data reports, the country's sunflower seeds and oil exports were recorded to be 5 billion dollars this year while it was 5.5 billion dollars in 2022. Sunflower seeds and oils were the most exported items from Ukraine during last year. Ukraine's majority of the seed oil exports went to Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and Hungary. Ukraine's exports share wise, Bulgaria (32%), Romania (20%), Turkey (15%) and Hungary (13.5%) were the top seed oil exporters in the world. Turkey's exports to Russia dropped to 34% in Feb 2024

  Turkey and Russia are important trading partners. The bilateral relationship has further increased during the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Turkey has faced harsh criticism from the west over increasing imports and exports from Russia. Amid this pressure, Turkey's trade with Russia slowed down last month. According to Turkey import export data reports, exports to Russia have declined by 34% during February 2024. Turkey has exported over $668 million worth of goods to Russia during February 2024. There was a decline of $1.1 billion in 2023.
