Turkey's Jewelry Export Import Market

 

Jewellery is the major export item from Turkey. In 2023, Turkey's jewellery exports grew by 2.5% as compared to fiscal year 2022. According to Turkey import export data reports, over $8.2 billion worth of jewellery items were exported from Turkey during the financial year 2023. The United Arab Emirates and Iraq were the two biggest markets for Turkey’s  jewellery exports last year. 

Among the fastest growing markets for Turkish jewellery items exports were the United States, Hong Kong, Libya, Kyrgyz Republic and Israel. The major export items include gold and silver metal jewellery articles.  Aglatc Jewelery Industry and Trade was the leading jewelery export company from Turkey in 2023. 


According to Turkey export data, Ahlatc Jewelery Industry and Trade was responsible for around $415 million worth of exports during last year. Among the fastest growing Turkish companies were Oro Istanbul Gold And Silver Industry Trade, Star Pirlanta, and Carra Jewelery. Nawal Jewellery from the United Arab Emirates, Mioro Gold from the United States and PAZ creations were the leading jewellery importing companies from Turkey with a large amount of shipments during 2023.


Whereas, Turkey's jewellery imports surge to 3.3% in 2023. Turkey import data suggest that over $2.5 Billion worth of jewellery articles were imported into Turkey during fiscal year 2023. Italy and the United Arab Emirates were the leading jewellery articles suppliers to Turkey with 40% and 38% market share respectively. Among other jewellery markets for Turkey were Hong Kong, Switzerland, Thailand, Egypt and France. 


Richemont Istanbul, Midas Gift Ways and Rina Gold were the leading precious metals import companies from Turkey during last year. On the other hand, Turkey’s jewellery imports mostly came from Aurum International from India, Itam SPA from Italy, and IGR Metals from Hong Kong were the top jewellery items suppliers to Turkey during last fiscal year.


In terms of Turkey's overall precious stones and metals exports, the total value recorded to be $13.65 billion for the financial year 2023. There was a 33% surge in the jewellery exports from Turkey. Turkey's 40% of the precious stones and metals went to the United Arab Emirates. The fastest growing markets for Turkey's precious stones, metals exports were Iraq, United States, Hong Kong, Switzerland and Libya. The major growth driving precious metals exports from Turkey were  gold, silver, waste scrap, diamonds, platinum, etc.


Globally, Turkey stands 7th on the list of top jewellery exporting countries. China, Switzerland, India and the United States are the major competitors of Turkey in terms of jewellery exports. Among the top jewellery export companies globally are Amrapali Jewels (India), Buckley Jewellery (United Kingdom), Curtis Australia and House of Chaumet (France).
